1xAmethyst heart.

Amethyst has always been closely associated with Buddha and are often chosen to make mala beads (prayer) The gemstone was also widely used for relaxing techniques such as yoga, as it was said to have protective and restorative qualities. Wearers had a penchant for its deep, transfixing colour and believed that it would help them restore balance in their lives and ultimately facilitate mindfulness in its ancient form.
It wasn't only used for this process of mental healing, though; many Tibetans believed in its abilities to heal physical wounds, so it was used in collaboration with the medicinal practices of the time.
Amethyst is believed to possess spiritual properties and they can be used to support raising your level of consciousness. They form a bridge between worldly and etheric worlds, opening up to spiritual awareness.
Ancient Greeks believed that amethyst protected against intoxication, they even drank from amethyst cups in hopes of curbing their hangovers as they also believed it to be an antidote. Midieval soldiers would wear amethyst because they had faith that it brought healing and that the gemstone could keep them cool-headed.
