A pendulum in the shape of a Vajra Dorje.
Vajra represents the masculine (methodology and compassion), usually used together with a bell that represents the feminine (wisdom). The interaction between the two leads to enlightenment.
The vajra is a common symbol in Tibetan/Tantric Buddhism and signifies powerful transformation. Vajra is a Sanskrit word meaning both thunderbolt and diamond and known as Dorje in Tibetan Buddhism. Additionally, it used as a ritual object to symbolize both the properties of a diamond (indestructibility) and a thunderbolt (irresistible force). Essentially it is a symbol of emptiness and the realisation of emptiness that is able to clarify all confusion and break through all obstacles and is particularly concerned with direct and immediate experience unmediated by concepts and ideas.
It symbolizes the impenetrable, immovable and indestructible state of Enlightenment or Nirvana and is believed to give protection from evil.
